Selected reports from the Bainbridge Island Police Department blotter.
Saturday, Sept. 8
7:15 p.m. Police were called to a domestic dispute on the corner of Ferncliff Avenue and Winslow Way. A man called because his ex-girlfriend was yelling and causing a scene. After police arrived, the two agreed to go their separate ways.
Monday, Sept. 10
11 a.m. A car was stopped on Grow Avenue because it was the same vehicle recently found abandoned on the island with hundreds of syringes inside. Both the driver and passenger of the car, neither was the owner, did not have valid driver’s licenses. The car still had syringes inside, but they did not appear to have been used.
2:38 p.m. Police responded to a medical center on Winslow Way for a report of an alcohol overdose of a minor.
A witness told police that a group of minors were at a Bainbridge home where a going-away party was thrown for a friend going to college. A young man, 18, consumed alcohol, smoked marijuana and chewed mushrooms according to the witness. He began throwing up and having trouble breathing so his friends decided to seek medical assistance. They went to the fire station for help but it was closed, so they brought him to the medical center.
