Spartan offense shakes Quakers in girls soccer

Bainbridge scorched Franklin with a blistering offensive attack and crushed the Quakers 8-0 in a Metro League girls soccer game late last week at Franklin High.

SEATTLE – Bainbridge scorched Franklin with a blistering offensive attack and crushed the Quakers 8-0 in a Metro League girls soccer game late last week at Franklin High.

Two Spartans scored twice in the victory: Kami Coryell and Celia Story.

Coryell put Bainbridge on the board early as she split the sticks with a pass from Story in the 6th minute.

Story then gave BHS a 2-0 advantage after netting a pass from Kate Matthews two minutes later.

A pair of goals quickly followed a little more than 10 minutes later in the contest.

Sophia Bidinger put Bainbridge ahead 3-0 with an assist from Rylee Dutton in the 20th minute.

Then, in the 22nd minute, Coryell picked up her second goal of the night on an unassisted shot and Bainbridge was ahead 4-0.

Katherine Pecora scored for the Spartans after a pass from Sophia Bidinger in the 42nd minute, and Story scored her second of the night in the 45th minute on a pass from MacKenzie Chapman. Bainbridge led 6-0 at that point.

Chapman added to the Spartans’ offense with a goal in the 51st minute after a pass from Coryell.

Aerin Amore kicked in the final goal of the night (Rylee Dutton assist) in the 76th minute.
