A group of more than a dozen irate citizens gathered and marched through downtown Winslow Wednesday afternoon in protest of a recently announced Supreme Court decision.

The ruling in the case of McCutcheon v. Federal Election Commission, which the Bainbridge demonstrators claimed is unconstitutional and will encourage political corruption, eliminated some restrictions on individual campaign contributions.

Signs reading “Make a ruckus! Democracy is dying!” and “This is not the Corporate $tates of America!” received honks of support from several passing motorists near the intersection of Highway 305 and Winslow Way, where the group had paused their walk to seek signatures on a petition to overturn the decision.
