It’s a race: Two vie for same seat on BIFD board of commissioners

Bainbridge voters will have a choice this November in at least one race for the board of commissioners for the Bainbridge Island Fire Department.

Bainbridge voters will have a choice this November in at least one race for the board of commissioners for the Bainbridge Island Fire Department.

William “Bill” Ruddick filed as a candidate with the Kitsap County Auditor’s Office on Tuesday for Position 4 on the board of commissioners.

Ruddick is a business consultant. According to a biography posted online for his business, he is a graduate of the University of Puget Sound and majored in business administration and economics. He is also past president and director of the National Wood Window and Door Association and past member of the Institute of Management Consultants and The Strategic Planning Institute.

Ruddick is the second candidate to jump into the race for Position 4.

Eileen A. McSherry filed as a candidate for the seat Monday.

She currently is director of regional communications at the Social Security Administration office in Seattle.
