After tonight, the council hopes to have a firm hired and a search underway for the city’s top executive.

The interviews will be in the council chambers beginning at 5:30 p.m. Of the five search firms invited, four responded and will be present tonight including Affion Public, Prothman, Strategic Government Resources and The Mercer Group.

The search firms will each be given 15 minutes to make a presentation, followed by a 15-minute question-and-answer session.

“The order will be selected at random,” said Councilman Steve Bonkowski.

After the interviews are finished, the council will vote to select a firm.

“The council will sit and decide which of the four firms we would prefer to get under contract, and then direct the city staff to go get them under contract,” he said.
