Amy Willerford nearly outscored Seattle Prep by herself after the Spartan score-machine unloaded for five goals in an 18-6 girls lacrosse win over the Panthers earlier this week in Seattle.

Willerford led all scorers in the contest, though fellow Spartan Sallie Marx saddled Prep with four goals of her own in the Metro League matchup and also contributed an assist.

The one-sided showdown was the fifth straight win for Bainbridge, and the Spartans lead the league with eight victories.

BHS jumped to an early advantage and the Spartans were up 10-4 at the intermission. Bainbridge followed by outscoring the Panthers 8-2 the rest of the way.

The Panthers had a few positives, notably Kayla Ayres and Maggie Slack.

On offense for Prep, Kayla Ayres scored twice and also added an assist. Slack slipped in another two goals in what became the team’s sixth loss.

Panthers goalkeeper Maggie McDonald recorded eight saves. Madeline Stevenson tallied three saves for the undefeated Spartans in Monday’s win.
