To the editor:

If you want to see a tour de force, you need to see Michelle Lorenz Odell in “Evita.”

She is the consummate “Evita” with the voice and acting ability to match. The rest of the talented cast is up to the demands of the challenging “Tangoesque” score.

Kudos to the orchestra and Elizabeth Faye, music director. You don’t need to take the ferry to Seattle to enjoy a special musical event: it’s here on Bainbridge Island right now. Presented by Ovation Musical Theatre, playing at the Bainbridge High School LGI on weekends through Aug. 3.
