To the editor:

I would personally like to thank the Bainbridge Island Child Care Centers board of directors and executive director Shelley Long for their amazing efforts in making the purchase of the Voyager Montessori School located on High School Road possible as a permanent home for our K-sixth grade programs.

I would especially like to thank Shelley Long for being the voice and cheerleader of our organization. Shelley’s enthusiasm, hard work, personal and professional connections have done so much to bolster our presence within the community while calling attention to the need for good quality, affordable child care.

As a longtime employee of Bainbridge Island Child Care, I look forward to what the future will bring to our new home.
