This weekend you have your choice of two excellent theater productions – right here on the island. Save the ferry fare to Seattle, the parking, and the hassle! This small island has two outstanding performances with fabulous and talented actors, imaginative sets, exciting costumes, and an enthusiasm that is wild.

“Once Upon a Mattress” is playing at BPA and Oliver! is being performed at BHS by Ovation! Musical Theatre.

Several off-island friends came to BPA last weekend and they were staggered by the professionalism of the theater company and how much they enjoyed the show. Their comment to me was, “I thought this was just Community Theater. This show is wonderful.”The same can be said of the production of Oliver!…absolutely delightful entertainment.

So, please, City Council, come and see our shows and see what you help support! Enjoy some fine entertainment brought to you by your friends and neighbors just downtown.
