Join the Bainbridge Performing Arts gallery Friday, Jan. 2 for a special artist reception event showcasing the self-portraits of several artists from the Bainbridge Island Special Needs Foundation.
The foundation is a day program that provides a safe, fun and educational environment for special needs adults.
The fused-glass self-portraits on exhibit at the BPA Gallery in January are an expression of the individuality and colorful vision that the participants bring to a community. They were created in collaboration with the Mesolini Glass Studio, who donated their time and materials for the project.
These works were last on display at the Seattle Art Museum in September.
The exhibit will run through January.
Bainbridge Island Special Needs Foundation, also known as “Stephens House,” was established in 2002. Visit www.bispecialneedsfoundation.org for details.
