Island Theatre at the Library presents “Seascape” by Edward Albee at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 16 and Sunday, April 17 at the Bainbridge Public Library.
“Seascape,” winner of the 1975 Pulitzer Prize for drama, is one of Albee’s most cherished plays, a fantastic story of what it means to be alive.
What begins as a more or less conventional comedy-drama of human relations between a recently retired couple relaxing at the beach becomes an other-worldly encounter when they are surprised by a pair of human-sized lizards seeking a lifestyle change who are anxious to talk about their plight.
Produced in conjunction with Earth Art Bainbridge, Island Theatre’s staged reading is directed by Steve Stolee.
