Marjorie P. McMillen, age 88, died July 1 of lung complications in Loveland, Colo.
She moved to Bainbridge over 20 years ago, when she retired as head resident of the Graduate Student Center at WSU in Pullman.
She enjoyed her work with young people, as well as volunteer and sports activities, playing bridge, and being with her friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James McMillen.
She is survived by her son, Thomas (Rosemary) McMillen of Port Townsend; daughter Patricia (Roger) Dirstine of Loveland, Colo.; eight grandchildren: Holly McMillen (Duane) Bland of California, Heidi McMillen (Dirk) Hass of California, Heather McMillen of Seattle, Michael (Suzy) Dirstine of Massachusetts, Kelly Dirstine of Massachusetts, Neal (Janelle) Dirstine of Colorado and June Dirstine of Colorado; and great grandchildren Joshua, Noah and Luke Band, Zachara Haas, Josephine and Anna Eugene and Jack and Finn Dirstine.
A family memorial was held July 6 in Spokane, where she was buried beside her husband.
