Betty Poole, a lifelong resident of Bainbridge Island, died peacefully at home on Dec. 8 after a brief illness. She was 83.
She was born on Nov. 24, 1925 on Bainbridge Island.
After graduating from Bainbridge High School, she worked at I Magnin as a buyer and sales consultant.
An avid golfer, she was a member of both Wing Point Golf and Country Club and Meadowmeer Golf Club. She was truly a strong woman who lived life on her own terms.
She survived by her husband of 57 years, Clayton Poole; her daughter and son-in-law, Tracie and Matthew Douglas; and her grandsons, Clayton and Scott Douglas.
