Former Bainbridge resident James Bacon Vaughan III, age 45, died Jan. 2 at Auburn Regional Medical Center.

He was born May 20, 1956 in Moses Lake, Wash. to J.B. Vaughan, Jr. and MarciaVee Cossette.

From 1965 to 1975, he lived on Bainbridge Island and attended Bainbridge High School.

He had a career as an automotive mechanic.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Joe Vaughan, in 1987, and brother Steve Vaughan in 1998.

He is survived by his parents and his sister DeEtta Vaughan of Olympia.

No services will be held. Remembrances may be made to Auburn Regional Medical Center.
