Longtime Bainbridge resident Elizabeth Bringolf Daly, 87, died Jan. 31 at her Hood Canal beach cottage.
She was born Nov. 20, 1915 in Tacoma to Harry A Bringolf Sr. and Helen Story Cushing Bringolf.
After growing up in Mineral Lake, Wash., she attended high school in nearby Eatonville. She lived on Bainbridge Island from 1970 until the death of her husband, Jack E. Daly, in 1992.
She enjoyed gardening and traveling throughout her life. She also served on the board of directors of Industrial Pump Sales Co., the business that she and her husband established in 1967.
She is survived by her daughter Jacquelyn Helm and son-in-law Henry R. Helm of Bainbridge and her son J. Drew Daly and daughter-in-law Helen Daly of Silverdale; grandchildren Jeff Helm, Elizabeth Helm, Clay Daly, Lisa Hodge, Kathie Hickey, Rose Daly and John Daly; great grandchildren Elaine Helm, Ian Helm, Kyle Helm, Mahlia Hodge, Alyssa Hodge, Angelique Daly and Andrea Daly; nephew Greg Bringolf; brothers-in-law George Daly and Richard Daly; and sister-in-law Marjorie Edwards Gustafson.
A memorial service will be held at St. Antony of Egypt Episcopal Church, Silverdale at 11 a.m. March 22. Remembrances can be made to the Progressive Animal Welfare Society, Audubon Society or Humane Society.
