Ann Louise Biggs, age 81, died Sept. 4. She was born March 11, 1921 in Spokane to Earle and Marion Walden. She grew up in Laurelhurst and graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1938.

She later graduated from Metropolitan Business College. In 1940, she married Ernest G. Biggs.

She was an active volunteer in youth groups, Children’s Hospital and Goodwill Industries. She enjoyed dancing, sewing, gardening, painting and music.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years; children Linda (David) Swolgaard, Peter (Leanne) Biggs and Bryon Biggs, all of Bainbridge; David (Kathy) Biggs of Sebastolpol, Calif.; Carol (Hal) Kummerow of Sitka, Alaska; and Robin (Don) Gann of Cloverdale, Ore.; 11 grandchildren and a sister, Mary Taggart.

A private family service will be held. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Hospice of Kitsap County or the Eagle Harbor Congregational Church.
