Laurie Lynn Stickle, 46, of Poulsbo, died July 29 at University of Washington Medical Center.
She was born Sept. 12, 1958, in Seattle, to Glenn and Beth (Fraser) Haggen.
She graduated from high school in Portland, Ore., and attended Whitman College in Walla Walla for three years.
She married William Stickle in June 1979 in Poulsbo.
She was employeed by the Human Resource Service Center in Silverdale for 10 years.
She enjoyed knitting, teaching Sunday school, vacation bible school and speech classes, and was a GED tutor. She was a past PTA president, ASSIST teacher at Suquamish and Gordon elementary schools and Kingston Junior High School, and a member of the Sarah Circle at First Lutheran Church of Poulsbo.
She also coached youth soccer and T-ball and sang in the Bainbridge Chorale.
She is survived by her husband William Stickle, her daughter, Angela and her sons, Nicholas and Alexander, all of Poulsbo; mother, Beth Fraser of Dickinson, Texas; brother, David Haggen of Bremerton, and sisters, Kathy Poissot of Guam, Glenna Barlow of Houston, Texas, and Gayle Welnitz of Austin, Texas.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Aug. 11 at First Lutheran Church of Poulsbo, with a reception following.
