Judi May

Judi May was born Judith Anne Lacey on April 8, 1943. She passed away unexpectedly on March 10, 2012.
She grew up in San Francisco, CA until the age of 12 when her family moved to Portland, OR. She attended Catholic school for her entire education, graduating from Marycrest High School in 1961 then continuing on to Seattle University, class of 1965. She met her husband Timothy May and they married August 26, 1967. They moved to Bainbridge Island in 1968 to start their family, where she remained an active part of the community until the end.
Judi devoted her career to the medical field and worked at a variety of Seattle area hospitals and nursing homes keeping medical records. She was a devout Catholic and attended mass almost daily. Judi was actively involved in numerous charities, most notably with St. Vincent De Paul on the Island.
Judi became an avid runner later in life, completing numerous marathons and other races starting at the age of 50. She also loved the sun, beach and fresh air, but cherished her grandchildren most of all. Judi was a devoted Grandma to her two granddaughters, Karli and Sidney and loving Nana to her grandson Jack.
Judi was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Olivia Lacey, sister Beverly Jones, and her husband Timothy May. Surviving Judi are her children Bradley (Mandi), Jennifer (Ross Mueller) and Alison, grandchildren Karli (13), Sidney (11) and Jack (2), and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Saturday March 24 at 11:00am at St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church on Bainbridge Island, reception to follow at Conger Hall. In lieu of flowers please make a donation in Judi’s name for St. Vincent De Paul c/o of St. Cecilia’s. Please say a prayer for Judi on Easter Sunday, as it would have been her 69th Birthday.
