The National Weather Service’s office in Seattle has issued a wind advisory for Western Washington for Friday, Oct. 30.
The advisory will run through 3 p.m. Friday.
The National Weather Service said a strong warm front is moving north across the region this morning, with strong winds interacting with the Olympics and Cascades to produce windy conditions.
Winds are expected to diminish late this afternoon through tonight.
The advisory covers Puget Sound from Seattle across to Bremerton, as well as the Hood Canal area south to Tacoma.
Winds of 20 to 30 mph are forecast, with gusts to 45 mph.
Forecasters warn that high winds may cause local power outages from falling trees and branches.
