Sheila S. Pease
August 26, 1934 – March 4, 2016
In loving memory of Sheila Sarin Pease who passed away in her home on March 4, 2016 with her beloved husband Denys at her side. Sheila Grace Sarin was born on Aug. 26, 1934, to parents Stanley and Bonnie Sarin in Seattle, Washington. She spent her young life growing up on rural Bainbridge Island.
As a result of her exceptional grades and accomplishments as a concert pianist, she attended Whitman College on a full ride scholarship. Later, she also attended Seattle University and the University of Washington.
Sheila met her husband Denys in elementary school. They attended high school together and married in 1959. A dedicated, loving mother and wife and a life-long learner, Sheila was a voracious reader and lover of all things science. She enjoyed playing her beautiful piano, sharing her thoughts on politics, science and philosophy, and visiting with her family and friends.
Throughout the years, Sheila and Denys shared many lasting memories rock hunting on one of their many road trips, modifying and improving the home they built together on Bainbridge and tending to their lovely garden.
Sheila is survived by her husband Denys, daughter Shannon Conner, son Evan Pease, son-in-law Richard Conner, and grandchildren Gibson and Eleanor Conner.
Sheila was a gentle, loving intellect who will be greatly missed by everyone she touched.
