Stanley Van Keuren

Stanley Van Keuren, 83, of Poulsbo died Feb. 1 at Harrison Hospital.

He was born March 24, 1920 in Kingston to Charles and Mabel (Garl) Van Keuren. He attended North Kitsap High School in Poulsbo.

He worked as a logger for Arness Logging, retiring after 25 years.

He enjoyed playing baseball over the years, playing horseshoes and playing cards.

Survivors include two brothers, Cecil Van Keuren of Kingston and Lynn Van Keuren of Lacey; and a sister, Marie Day of Bainbridge Island.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Claire Rasmussen, and a brother, Lyle Van Keuren.

A memorial service was held Feb. 6 at the Stone Chapel in Poulsbo. Inurnment will be at Kingston Cemetery. An online memorial can be seen at www.lewischapel.com.
