Jane “Jenny” Knutsen Jacobsen, of Bainbridge Island, died on May 3. She was 95.

She was born on September 29, 1913 to John and Inga Knutsen. She gradutated from Bainbridge High School in 1932 and married Marshall “Lefty” Jacobsen in 1941.

She worked for the Bainbridge Island School District as head cook at Commodore for many years and was know for her cinnamon buns.

She was a vivid gardener and a member of the Rhododendron society, traveling on many of their trips.

She is survived by her children, Marshall (Coral) Jacobsen, of Bainbridge Island, Susan Moreno of Issaquah, Douglas Jacobsen of Sumner and Gary (Marlene) Jacobsen, of Yelm; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Marshall Jacobsen, in 1980.

There will be no services; contributions can be made to a charity of choice.
