Bainbridge resident Richard K. Robertson, age 72, died Jan. 29 at Island Health and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born April 9, 1931 on Bainbridge Island to Orville and Ruth (King) Robertson. He graduated from Bainbridge High School in 1949.
He served in the Korean War as a member of the U.S. Air Force, stationed in Alaska.
After the war he worked at the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard as a welder, and then at Bangor submarine base in security.
After retirement, he became one of the Rolling Bay coffee klatch.
He is survived by his former wife and caregiver, Elaine Moline of Bainbridge; children Carl Robertson of Poulsbo, Jeremy Pratt of Vashon Island and Teresa Robertson of Pasco; grandchildren Ian and Hanna Pratt, Joseph and Laurel Foster and Glenn Goodrich; and sister Elizabeth Robertson of McMinville, Ore.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Helen Bennett, and a brother, Walter Robertson.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
