Jane Nancy Denbok, age 48, of Bainbridge Island, died Jan. 1, 2004, after an extended struggle with cancer.
She was born Nov. 2, 1955, in the small town of Meaford, Ontario, Canada, at the foot of the Blue Mountains.
She spent several childhood years in New Zealand and experienced great growth at both the Lama Foundation in New Mexico and the Claymont Society for Continuing Education.
Singing and music brought her lasting joy. Of importance in her life were the search for spiritual peace and healing through music.
She is survived by her mother and five siblings, of California, New York and Canada. She was preceded in death by her father, two siblings, and her two infant sons.
A gathering of friends will be held at 7 p.m. Jan. 10 at Yoga and Beyond Studio, 425 Ericksen, on Bainbridge Island. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Humble Abode, a support service for people living with cancer, P.O. Box 974, Poulsbo, WA 98370.
