After leading by three in the first, the Spartans used a 13-0 run late in the second quarter to head into the lockerroom up by 13.

The two teams played a mostly even third quarter before the Lions turned up the defensive pressure and used the press to climb back to within two with 4:43 left.

But after trading several offensive possessions with no score, Anna Wood connected on three of four foul shots to give Bainbridge a small cushion.

The Lions couldn’t muster another comeback, turning the ball over several times and scoring just four points in the last two minutes.

Emily Farrar sealed it at the line with five of six free throws made.

Gray finished with 21 points and 15 rebounds while Vincent had 11 points and 10 rebounds.

Farrar scored 19 points.

Bainbridge plays Seattle Prep at 4:45 p.m. Tuesday in a winner to state game.
