The Bainbridge Island Historical Society will present a Vintage Auto Show from 2-4 pm. Sept. 24 on the museum grounds on Ericksen Avenue.

The Auto Show is part of the monthly History Series program, which is free to BIHS members and $5 to non members.

Islanders Ken and Carol Beach, members of the Olympic Vintage Auto Club, helped to organize the show. Visitors will see 10 classic vehicles ranging from a 1913 Ford to a 1953 Packard Clipper. The owners of each car will be on hand to answer any questions. The Bremerton-based car club was founded in 1959 “with the goal of preservation, restoration, and enjoyment of vintage motor vehicles in stock condition.”

In the museum will be a display about early Bainbridge automobiles on an island without many roads.

Among the vehicles to be displayed are:

Green 1929 Franklin 4 door sedan – owned by Jim & Val Barnes;

Yellow and tan 1931 Plymouth Business Roadster – owned by Joe and Isabelle Leaf;

Green 1914 Cadillac Touring – owned by Dennis & Gerri Johnson;

Gray 1948 Chevrolet convertible – owned by Ken & Carol Beach;

Red 1913 Ford Touring – owned by Charlie & Gerri Riel.
