Clark, Hallett place second, third in their respective events.
FEDERAL WAY – Austin Hallett and Cheyne Clark were in position to win, but just missed out on a title at the 2A/3A state swim and dive championships at the King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way.
Hallett, seeded first in the 100 free with an All-American consideration time of 47.07, placed third in the event with a time of 47.55.
Eastside Catholic’s Ethan Hallowell was first with a time of 46.81.
Clark scored well on his dives, but couldn’t overcome Mercer Island’s Beau Riebe, who took first with 397 points to Clark’s 380.70
David Ortyn was fourth in the 100 butterfly with a time of 53.34.
The 200 medley relay took third with a time of 1:39.82 while the 200 freestyle relay won the consolation final with a time of 1:31.36.
The 400 freestyle relay took sixth with a time of 3:20.47.
Overall, Bainbridge was sixth with 124 points.
