To the editor:
I recently became aware of a very useful website, JustServe.org, that I believe would help many of our island nonprofit endeavors.
This service connects volunteers with opportunities to care for others and improve our community. Project coordinators can register a project for free and connect with local volunteers or look for projects to support. The best opportunities are collaborative and assist the poor and those in need, and enhance the quality of life in the community.
JustServe.org, a free worldwide service administered by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, is open to all faiths and community organizations.
The Interfaith Council’s Super Suppers and Helpline House food pantry volunteers are two examples of current JustServe.org projects.
