Bainbridge High students will gather tonight for the school’s first annual swing dance.
The evening of live music and fun is being hosted by the BHS Band Program, and all proceeds will support the band.
The dance will run from 7 to 9:30 p.m. and will include three sets of live “classic” big band jazz by the two BHS Jazz Bands, with a handful of contemporary Latin pieces thrown in for fun.
Several short segments of group dance instruction will also be offered by Sheila Phillips of Bainbridge’s own Educated Feet Dance Studio, and the lessons are appropriate for beginner and intermediate dancers alike.
Tickets are $10 at the door. There will also be a selection of desserts and drinks available for donation.
