Senators Christine Rolfes and Ann Rivers, members of the State Senate Early Learning and K-12 Education Committee, will speak at a special forum on Sunday, March 5 in the commons at Bainbridge High School.

Rolfes (D-Kitsap County) and Rivers (R-La Center) will give an update on education funding.

The pair will also explain competing Republican (SB 5607) and Democratic (HB 1543) proposals to address the mandate from the Washington State Supreme Court and education funding.

The bipartisan forum will be hosted by the Bainbridge Island Republican Women and is open to the public. The event is from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m.
