In preparation for the construction of the new Fire Station 21 on Madison Avenue, the Bainbridge Island Fire Department administration office has relocated to Station 23 at 12985 Phelps Road, officials announced earlier this week.

District officials made the move north earlier this week.

“The administrative offices will be open 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Phelps Road station,” explained BIFD Assistant Chief Luke Carpenter.

“Equipment and responding personnel will transition out of the Madison fire station over the next two weeks as we get closer to the construction date,” he said.
