Admiral Horatio Nelson once said, “I cannot, if I am in the field of glory, be kept out of sight: wherever there is anything to be done, there Providence is sure to direct my steps.”
Allow us to be the providence guiding your steps this weekend.
If you were on the fence about adopting a new furry friend to spend your days with, you best make your mind up before Friday and then get your tail over to The Kitsap Humane Society. This St. Patrick’s Day, celebrate by adopting a new forever friend. On Friday, adoption fees for all adult pit-bulls and pit-bull mixes will be half off!
Adoption fees for all adult cats will be just $17 (the standard adoption process applies). New applications must be submitted by 4:30 p.m.
On Saturday and Sunday head over to Pritchard Park or Holly Cove Park and watch as the Bainbridge High School varsity sailing team hosts the Regional Bainbridge Cup from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
It is the first event of the competitive sailing spring season and should provide an entertaining experience that even the most die-hard land lubber won’t be able to protest, even if some of the sailors will be shouting “protest!” up and down Eagle Harbor.
Then take it easy and start coping with the fact that you’re gonna be back work for another five days.
The Bainbridge Blab is your one-stop spot to get the 411 on all things 98110. From South Beach to Agate Passage, Battle Point to Rolling Bay, we’ve got the straight skinny on Bainbridge Island: the latest chatter, babble and burble. News, too.
