A Bainbridge couple escaped injury after a woman crashed her 2005 Ford Explorer into the storefront of a business in the 900 block of Hildebrand Lane last week.
According to Bainbridge police, the mishap occurred just after 5 p.m. Monday, March 13 when the woman was taking her husband to an appointment and was pulling into a parking stall adjacent to the building at 931 Hildebrand.
The woman told police she then hit the gas pedal instead of the brake and launched her vehicle into the front of the building.
Neither the woman nor her husband were hurt, but the building sustained reportable damage; two large windows were smashed as well as the sashes and framing.
