Bainbridge blotter | Custom paint job

Selected reports from the Bainbridge Island Police Department blotter.

SUNDAY, MAY 14

5:30 p.m. Somebody sprayed white wall-texture paint on a black Jeep Wrangler parked in front of the owner’s residence on High School Road. The paint was on the car’s sides, front window and hood. The owner had no idea who might have done it, or even when, exactly, the vandalism had occurred.

TUESDAY, MAY 16

7:48 a.m. A 59-year-old Suquamish man driving a 2017 Ram truck south on Highway 305 was distracted by his dog and did not notice traffic had stopped in front of him at the intersection of West Port Madison Road. Unable to stop in time, he struck the rear of a 2014 Subaru Outback, driven by 45-year-old Bainbridge Island woman.

There were no injuries.

Both drivers called tow services to have their vehicles removed from the scene.
