The Bainbridge Island-Seattle ferry route is down to one boat on the run, Washington State Ferries announced just before 10:30 a.m. Sunday.
WSF said the ferry M/V Tacoma was pulled from service “until further notice due to unresolved critical alarms sounding on the vessel.”
The loss of the Tacoma prompted the cancelation of the 10:25 a.m. July 16 departure from Bainbridge to Seattle.
The 11:25 a.m. departure from Seattle to Bainbridge has also been canceled.
It was the second time Sunday that WSF reported trouble with the Tacoma.
Two early morning sailings were delayed on Sunday — the Tacoma’s 5:20 a.m. departure from Bainbridge and the 6:10 a.m. sailing from Seattle to the isalnd — because of a problem with the vessel’s drive motor.
