BAINBRIDGE – The Spartans slid to a 10-4 win varsity boys water polo Monday, Oct. 9 against the visitors from Gig Harbor, longtime good-natured rivals and perennially strong opponents.
The Bainbridge High varsity team’s scoring efforts were led by Miles Hogger, who put up five goals throughout the match.
Sam Chapman, Will Thompson, Thomas Defawe, Max Eyrich and Daniel DeFoe each put up one goal apiece as well.
The win advanced the Spartans’ overall season record to 9-1. The island squad played two more consecutive home matches — against South Kitsap on Wednesday, Newport on Thursday — and will not play at home again until 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 25, against Wilson.
