SUNDAY, DEC. 17

1:08 p.m. An 81-year-old Bainbridge Island woman driving a 1999 Toyota Camry struck a tree which had fallen across the road.

The woman was traveling north on Miller Road, approaching the intersection of Arrow Point Drive, when a tree snapped and fell across the street in front of her. It fell very close to the car, and she was unable to stop in time to avoid hitting it. Her vehicle was damaged, but no injuries were reported.

TUESDAY, DEC. 19

7:20 a.m. A traffic emphasis was requested for the area near Grow Avenue and Lovell Avenue. A nearby resident informed police that his wife and he often walk their dog in the area and are “constantly having to avoid speeding drivers and drivers not paying attention to the stop signs.”
