Travelers on the Bainbridge Island-Seattle ferry route are facing delays Friday afternoon.

Washington State Ferries said the delays were prompted by a medical emergency aboard the ferry M/V Puyallup.

Both ferries on the route are behind schedule.

The 2:05 p.m. sailing left late from the terminal, and the 3 p.m. Seattle-to-Bainbridge departure will also be delayed, along with the 2:55 and 3:50 p.m. Bainbridge-to-Seattle sailings.

Other Friday sailings may also be late, according to WSF.
