Demonstrators walk through downtown Winslow Saturday morning on their way to the ferry terminal to participate in the Seattle Women’s March 2.0

The march marked the first anniversary of the Women’s March on Washington, D.C. and started with a rally at Cal Anderson Park on Seattle’s Capitol Hill before ending with a second rally at Seattle Center.

About a dozen similar marches were planned across Washington state.

Organizers said they hoped that this year’s march will engage all people to support women’s rights, racial equity, human rights, civil rights, disability rights, LGBTQIA rights, veteran’s rights, workers’ rights, immigrant rights, reproductive rights, indigenous people’s rights and environmental justice.
