Happy anniversary.
When we first started this cartoon chronicle of the Trump presidency a year ago, we wondered if it would still be going a year later.
Would Donald J. Trump still be in the White House? Or would he gone for reasons of health, boredom, the workload and the demands of the job, or some other unexpected end to this reality show presidency?
Would newspaper cartoonists run out of ideas, with so much winning and America great again?
And so here we are 52 weeks later, sifting through a selection of cartoons where so many this week depict the U.S. president in various poses with human waste or toilets.
Happy anniversary!
