Judith Carolyn Hinkle, a longtime resident of Bainbridge Island, passed away on March 24, 2015 after a sudden illness.

Judy was an amazingly energetic woman with a contagious laugh, great skill as a gourmet cook, especially known for her desserts, loved to travel with her husband Chuck whom she was married to for 41 loving years and worked for many years as a paralegal for various attorneys in Kitsap County.

Judy graduated from Roosevelt High School and to the chagrin of her father Ernest Conrad, former financial vice president of the University of Washington, she chose to attend Washington State University. The Apple Cup Football game presented a wonderful family rivalry that has been enjoyed throughout the years as Judy’s son Brian is a UW alum, as is her sister Kathy and two of Kathy’s chiildren.

Judy is survived by and greatly missed by her husband Charles Hinkle; daughter Megan Kenney; son Brian Hinkle (Annie); and grandchildren Piper and Charlie Hinkle. She is also survived by her sister Kathy Spence (Bob), her nieces Carolyn, Rebecca and nephew Carl Spence and many other loving relatives and friends.

Judy was lovingly surrounded by her family and friends during the month of her illness.

The family would like to thank Hospice of Kitsap County and Martha and Mary at Home for the wonderful care providers who gave of their time and talents in very special ways. Judy loved to entertain and there will be a family gathering this summer to celebrate her life.
