BAINBRIDGE – Bishop Blanchet forged a 2-0 first half lead and held on to beat Bainbridge 2-1 in girls varsity soccer Tuesday at Bainbridge Memorial Stadium.

The Braves got on the board early with a free kick goal by Margaret Steiner in the 12th minute.

Blanchet moved ahead 2-0 in the 31st minute on a goal from Taylor Chambers.

The Spartans started to turn things around late in the game but came up one goal short.

Kamie Coryell took a pass from Celia Story and scored Bainbridge’s only goal in the 59th minute.
