Book lovers and bargain shoppers crowd around the tables at Thursday’s book sale at the Bainbridge Public Library.
Bainbridge Island Friends of the Library hold the fundraising sales three times a month.
According to Friends of the Library, the organization receives several hundred thousand books a year, and it takes volunteers three days each week to sort, organize, price and display the books, magazines, CDs, DVDs and other items for sale in the basement of the library.
Most books are priced at $1.
The next sale is 10 a.m. Saturday, April 14 at the library.
