Travis Tebo has been selected to fill the role of associate principal at Woodward Middle School, officials with the Bainbridge Island School District have announced.
Tebo is originally from Kitsap County and has spent the past 13 years teaching middle- and high-schoolers at the International School of Beijing in China. Before moving to China, he was a high school biology teacher at Olympic High School in Silverdale.
Tebo will begin his new position on July 1, when Jeff Hale transitions to the position of principal at WMS.
District officials said Tebo “brings an amazing amount of diverse classroom experience, collaboration, leadership, energy, communication and a specific understanding of middle schoolers. He will quickly become a trusted colleague, as well as a strong advocate for students, teachers and staff.”
