FRIDAY, JUNE 15

8:35 a.m. Police were called to a Wing Point-area home by a resident claiming his son’s ex-girlfriend was there and would not leave.

Upon arrival, police found the woman, 36, of Bainbridge, standing near her car, telling the homeowner she didn’t care about the police being there. She approached the officer in a “hurried walk,” arms at her sides, fists clenched. When told to back up again, the woman proclaimed she was not a threat. She approached again in the same way and was told if she did not back up she would be restrained.

The woman told police she used to live at the house and had come back to get her child’s clothes.

When asked, the resident, a man, 65, said he refused to discuss the matter until the woman left. Police told her to leave, and she did.

The man said the woman had dated his son and had been calling the house in the early hours of the morning to harass them. When nobody answered, she’d come over to the house and try to get in. The man said he had no problem returning the laundry to the woman, but he didn’t want her in his house again as she has a protection order against his son (who lives there) and he does not want his son arrested.

The man was advised to seek a protection order against the woman.
