Contestants cheer on their speedy zucchini creations as a crowd of more than 200 came out to watch the annual zucchini races at the Bainbridge Island Farmers Market on Saturday, Sept. 15.

Great gourds of all sizes were customized for the races, which featured plenty of spectacular entries and several even-more spectacular crashes on the raceway.
