Once you’ve recovered from your Turkey Day food hangover, and if the Black Friday festivities don’t batter you too badly, there are more than a few options for those seeking fun on Bainbridge Island this weekend.

Beloved Bainbridge gypsy jazz masters Ranger and the Re-Arrangers will perform a special free concert, with special guest Kevin Connor, at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 23 at the Bainbridge Island Museum of Art.
Connor is a member of gypsy jazz ensemble Hot Club Sandwich. His arrangements can be heard on all five of the group’s albums, and his composition “Gaucho” was featured on NPR’s “All Things Considered.”
He also leads the SuperSones, a Cuban septet.
The concert will feature music from Ranger and the Re-Arrangers’ repertoire of swing standards and traditional gypsy melodies.

Saturday, meanwhile is packed with good times.
Eagle Harbor Book Company will host a reading of “Llama Llama Red Pajama” and “Llama Llama Holiday Drama” at 11 a.m.
Kids, come dressed in your favorite pajamas and ready to have fun.
Parents, bring a new pair of pajamas to donate to kids in need, because Eagle Harbor Books is partnering with Lollipops Children’s Boutique (278 Winslow Way East) to accept new, unworn pajamas and, for every new pair of pajamas donated, Penguin Young Readers will also donate a book.

Winslow is the place to be from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., because it’s once again the Bainbridge Downtown Holiday Open House and local businesses will be offering up a slew of specials.
Stop by the Cook Family Cider Booth at Madrone Lane (from 1 to 3 p.m.) for a complimentary cup of cider and a holiday event guide and Elves on the Shelves entry form. Also, what’s the deal with those downtown Giving Trees? Stop by and find out.
The community tree lighting event takes place from 5 to 6:30 p.m., with live music performed by the Bainbridge High School band.
Also on the entertainment lineup: A selection from Ovation! Performing Arts Northwest’s upcoming show “Masquerade: The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber” and Bainbridge Performing Arts’ “Wizard of Oz,” and a special appearance by Santa Claus himself!
Finally, Seattle vocalist Grace Love will take to the Treehouse Café stage at 8 p.m., accompanied by seven-piece, all-female band (except for one guitarist), performing rock, soul and gospel standards and original compositions.
Love has played with Melissa Etheridge, sat in with the California Honeydrops while on tour with Bonnie Raitt, and was once humbled to find Quincy Jones himself enjoying her set.
