Erich Cannon, former manager of Bainbridge Cinemas, co-wrote and produced the film “Fall City,” recently released to video-on-demand via Amazon.

In the movie, recently paroled thief Jon Price is forced to return to his small, rainy hometown of Fall City, Washington just before Christmas, where he unexpectedly begins to find joy as he meets a struggling single mother who shows him true kindness, and he begins filling the role of a father for her young daughter.

Directed by Nathan D. Lee, the movie can be rented for $2.99 or bought for $9.99, or seen for free by Amazon Prime members.

It will also have a special three-day theatrical run at the Lynwood Theatre at 5 p.m. Friday, Dec. 14 through Sunday, Dec. 16.

Both the producer and co-writer/director have local ties.

“Myself and the film’s director … grew up in Poulsbo and graduated from North Kitsap High School,” Cannon said.

Both men currently live in Los Angeles, but came back home for for the movie.

“The film showcases a lot of Fall City locations, landscape and people,” Cannon said. “The community has definitely picked up on the upcoming film via Facebook. We reached 40,000 views … in just one week.”
