The ferry M/V Tacoma was temporarily taken off the Bainbridge Island-Seattle route early Sunday after suspicious white powder was discovered aboard the vessel.
Washington State Ferries announced the service disruption just after 8:30 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 16, and said “law enforcement activity on board the vessel” delayed the sailing from Bainbridge until 8:45 a.m.
WSF spokesman Ian Sterling said the power that was found turned out to be benign.
