THURSDAY, DEC. 13

1:23 p.m. A man visiting Bainbridge from New York called police to report a piece of his rental car, a 2019 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque, had apparently been stolen while it was parked at the south Mandus Olson Grand Forest entrance.

The man said he’d gone for a walk in the park and returned to find the plastic trim on the driver side door had been removed. There was no damage to the body or door besides the missing piece.

Police photographed the car and searched the immediate area, but did not find the missing piece.

A report was filed.
